My final portfolio for my Photography 1 course at Binghamton University consisted of 10 final prints. The pictures were taken with a Canon Eos Rebel X film camera, on black & white film. Throughout the semester, we were tasked with shooting and developing a full roll of 24 frame film each week. Assignments included photographing objects in motion, off-centered objects, objects in odd lighting, and so on. We learned how to adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO as needed for different shots. Film negatives were developed in the dark room and printed on Ilford Multigrade classic & glossy printing paper. Frames were printed multiple times, adjusting exposure, focus, time, as well as dodging & burning. The final 10 photographs were carefully printed and selected as a collection.
