Helvetica Neue Typeface Specimen
Link to FlipSnack booklet flipthroughFor this project, I designed a typeface specimen for Helvetica Neue. As Helvetica Neue is a modern, minimal, sans serif typeface which I personally enjoy using, I decided it would be the perfect typeface to study in detail. Helvetica was designed by Swiss typeface designer Max Miedinger in 1957. The typeface was reworked in 1983 to adjust character weights and proportions, creating Helvetica Neue. Helvetica Neue is used by several advertising campaigns, and company/brand logos. The typeface is most popularly used in the NYC Subway System signage, federal tax form documents, and company logos such as Jeep, Target, Skype, Adult Swim, Panasonic, and so on. Helvetica has a wide range of families, specifically 9 weights and 3 widths. My booklet defines and researches the typeface in detail, with a clean aesthetic appeal as homage to the typeface identity.
